THE APPRENTICE CHEF: BUILD-A-TACO

For aspiring chefs, children ages 7 to 11. Spend an unforgettable time in the kitchen with taco dynamo Jeff Friesen making corn tortillas from scratch along with all the components of a great taco. This hands-on class will prepare Mexican shredded beef, griddled chicken, fresh guacamole, shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, and chopped lettuce for the students to create their own mix-and-match tacos.

Elizabeth Georgin, from Kerala, India, shares traditional dishes from her country in a monthly series. This hands-on class will learn to create deep-fried tuna fish cutlets with garam masala, Kerala fish curry in coconut gravy, rice, potato curry, plus a spiced beaten yogurt drink with ginger and curry leaves, and kesari - a sweet semolina dessert with raisins and cashews.
