Cooking Classes

Kitchen Conservatory offers more than 1500 different cooking classes every year. These fun cooking classes are taught by the talented chefs and fabulous culinary educators who share their specialties of the kitchen. We offer both fully-participatory classes and demonstration classes that feature a wide variety of menus and themes from beginner to gourmet to ethnic cooking. All cooking classes are held at 9011 Manchester Road.

SOUP SEASON

We love soup all year round, but especially as we head into the cooler weather. This hands-on class with Jeff Friesen will create fall heirloom tomato gazpacho, roasted acorn squash soup with brown butter-thyme croutons and roasted mushrooms, French onion soup with charred poblanos, and finish with a fitting dessert of île flottante - floating island of meringue in a sea of crème anglaise garnished with brûléed pineapple and rum. #weekday

DAYS WITH DEVON - PUMPKINS AND RYE

Spend an easygoing late morning with Devon Drag as she recreates some of her favorite go-to dishes in this monthly series. Enjoy pumpkin waffles with pear-cranberry relish, cheddar-herb Dutch baby topped with prosciutto and chives, crisp vegetable latkes, plus an autumn fruit salad with orange-maple yogurt dressing sprinkled with homemade granola, and a Ward Eight rye-citrus cocktail. #weekday

HEIR AND A PARENT: GOB-SMACKED AND GRATEFUL

Let's get everyone in the kitchen for some Thanksgiving practice to help with an astonishing day of food and gratitude. This hands-on class will join school teacher Matt Lehmann to create pull-apart cheese bread with pesto and mozzarella, homemade poultry stock, herbed butternut squash stuffing, roasted Cornish game hens with mustard-herb sauce, plus apple pie with a lattice crust and decorative pastry leaves. This class is designed for children, ages 7 to 11, plus a parent. #weekday
