René Sackett, manager of two local farmers markets, shares her knowledge with a stunning array of ciders to be enjoyed with a delectable meal prepared by Mickey Kitterman using a variety of ciders. The cider tasting includes ciders from Normandy, Spain, Germany, and St. Louis. Enjoy curried pumpkin and mushroom soup, cider-battered bread with sea salt butter, skillet fried apples and butternut squash, tender braised chicken enchiladas divorciados with two salsas - rojo and salsa verde baked with queso fresco, plus cider-poached pears with cider gingerbread.
