Back in the day, Sharon Tutko was an adventure-seeking young woman with chef knives eager to experience the world. Most of those things still ring true as she shares the significant food that is still part of her life in this monthly series. From Zuni Café in San Francisco, Sharon mentored with Judy Rodgers for a 5:30 am shift with highly skilled and passionate foodies before heading straight to culinary school at the California Culinary Academy. Enjoy a welcoming nibble of green olive-lemon relish with bread for dipping, gulf shrimp cooked in a superb romesco sauce with charred tomatoes and toasted hazelnuts served with wilted spinach, pasta carbonara di ricotta with fresh peas and lardons, plus a plum galette with lemon-scented mascarpone. #weekday
